Clayton Jennings and his wife landed in Johannesburg on 24 September.
However, their daughter Arabelle had trouble breathing and they rushed her to hospital,Briefly.co.zalearned.
In a Facebook post, Clayton said doctors diagnosed little Arabelle with pneumonia and bang out 1 Diabetes.
One doctor even told the couple that “things were not looking good.”
Fortunately, their daughter’s condition stabilised on Wednesday.
Clayton said they now have to adjust to raising a diabetic baby.
Clayton was particularly thankful to one South African doctor, whose name he did not mention.
He said the doctor incidentally graduated from the same US university as him.
Nevertheless, it’s heartening that little Arabelle is getter better with each day.
