He is popularly known as the legal representative of Nelson Chamisa.
One of his most notable cases was in 2018 when he challenged Zimbabwe’s presidential election results.
The urgent suit has still not been determined to date and it is unlikely that it ever will.

It, however, confirmed Thabanis status as an emerging fighter for justice.
He joined the ICTR as an intern but soon became a Legal Researcher.
He has also led various civic and political bodies both at university and national levels.
