Public protector has cleared David Mabuza's name of R70m complaint

Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane cleared David Mabuza, ANC Deputy President, of two complaints against his name.

One of the complaints is linked to a R70m Madiba memorial service costs complaint.

However, she did find that the appointment of Carol Bouwer Productions was irregular.

The vehicles were reportedly worth R5 million and included an Audi A8, BMW X5 and Range Rover Vogue.
