Presidential panel member rejects final report on land expropriation

This comes as lawmakers are drafting a bill to make changes to Section 25 of the Constitution.

Section 25 concerns land reform and land rights.

The proposed changes to the Constitution would allow for legal expropriation of land without the owners being paid compensation.

The draft bill is expected to be debated in October.

Instead, they have released their own alternative report.

Cyril Ramaphosa, however, has promised the business community that property rights will be protected.
