Maimane took to social media and sent a tweet to comedian Trevor Noah.

He implored the comedian to not turn a blind eye on the suffering of fellow Africans.

The politician posted a lengthy message which read:

They further argued that Trevor Noah was also ignoring the issue due to his strong relationship with Ramaphosa.

Mzansi musician Zakes Bantwini also used Twitter to spread awareness about the alleged oppression that Zimbabweans are living under.
