Mukona Martin Ranzida from Mbilwi Secondary School in Limpopo was placed third.
He said that the recipe to success was being able to manage heavy workload effectively.
The young man wishes to continue studying mathematics at tertiary level.
His advice to the class of 2020 is to aim high.
