King Goodwill Zwelithini’s body will not be on display at his funeral due to concerns over Covid-19.

He will be honoured with a Special Official Funeral Category One funeral.

The date of the funeral has not been confirmed.

Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi spoke at a gathering with the family in Nongoma where they were discussing the funeral arrangements.

King Goodwill Zwelithini passed away due to Covid-19 complications which exacerbated due to his blood pressure and diabetes.

Preparations for the funeral will be discussed on Saturday among members of theroyal familyaccording to SABC.

King Zwelithini played a powerful role in the Zulu nation having been installed as the eighth monarch in 1971.

Names such as Mmusi Maimane, Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, Herman Mashaba and John Steenhuisen have shared their condolences online.
