Prince Buthelezi spoke at a gathering with the family in KwaNongoma where they were discussing the funeral arrangements.
King Zwelithini played a powerful role in the Zulu nation having been installed as the eighth monarch in 1971.
Names such asMmusi Maimane, Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, Herman Mashaba and John Steenhuisen have shared their condolences online.
