The boy, Octavia Mitchell Jr from Tennessee in the US, turned four years old recently,Briefly.co.zalearned.
His mom, Shatika Dixon, and uncle took him to a restaurant to celebrate.
One of the waitresses, Kathryn Marasco, noticed her speaking to Octavia in sign language.
The two then found a YouTube video that showed them how to sign it.
They quickly got the basics right and went on to sing Octavia “happy birthday” in sign language.
It shows a beaming Octavia appreciating the two waitresses who made his day extra special.
