The House was expected to vote on the legislation on Monday, December 21.
Most adults and children will be receiving $600 each (R8 761,08).

There is also an arrangement to pay unemployed citizens $300 (R4 380,51) unemployment supplement every week.
The benefit could begin by December 27, 2020, and run through March 14, 2021.
