A Durban-based Metro Police officer is being praised all over social media for his selfless and heroic act.
Ashley Deidricks managed to deliver a baby on a pavement in the Durban CBD.

Sewpersad added that the mother had been walking on the street when she started experiencing labour pains and contractions.
She then went into labour on the pavement, according toIOL.
Applause erupted as the new mother and baby were transported to the ambulance.
