Grootes quickly released an apology to the citizens of the country and to both Malema and Ndlozi.
The EFF then released a statement calling on Newzroom Afrika to remove Grootes from their programming.

Their assault case allegedly occurred in 2018.
The EFF members were accused of pushing Police Colonel Johannes Venter.
Both Malema and Ndlozi pleaded not guilty previously and their lawyers told thecourtthat Venter’s evidence was contradictory.
