Later in life, the mid-fielder went on to coach South African women’s soccer team - Banyana Banyana.
He played for Zurich from 1990 to 1992 and for Baden from 1993 to 1995.
He then returned to Zurich in 1995 and stayed there for a year.

The 57-year-old was Banyana Banyana’s head coach from 2006 until 2011.
The team, unfortunately, failed to do so and SAFA decided not to renew his contract.
