Alberton gas pipeline catches fire: Several nearby families evacuated

News24reports that those within a 500-metre radius were forced to leave the scene when the fire broke out.

Briefly.co.zagathered that the pipeline was initially thought to be a Sasol pipeline, but a spokesperson has confirmed otherwise.

It is now suspected that the pipeline is part of a Transnet data pipe.
