Gcaleka’s mother was a domestic worker in the house of an unknown white family in Newlands, Johannesburg.
She then attendedKwaZulu-Natal University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in law in 2003.
The South African advocate also graduated with a master’s in Commercial Law from the University of Johannesburg.
